1968 Jaguar Fixed Head Coupe

1968 Jaguar E-type (XKE) Coupe. This Matching numbers, Heritage Certificate holding E Type is a very early series 1.5 coupe,(actually the 71st one produced by its VIN #) which means it has all the most desirable features of a series 1 car except for the covered headlights. This car is fitted with original toggle switch dashboard, series 1 style seats, triple SU carbureted 4.2 L engine, coolant header tank, and of course the most desirable bumpers and lights of all of the E-types. 
  The car was fully restored professionally restored in Canada in 2017 and was offered for sale by Sotheby’s in their 2018 Amelia island auction with an estimated value of $90-$120,000. It’s restoration included complete professional paint and body work, new interior including headliner, interior panels, door panels, new seat leathers and foams, new carpet set, new Dash top, all the chrome was re-plated or replaced, and much more.
  Mechanically the car is a very strong runner with a great new clutch, new hydraulics, refurbished electrical system, with a few thoughtful upgrades including Per Tronics electronic ignition added inside the distributor cap and an auxiliary thermostatically controlled cooling fan for the engine. Recently the car received complete tuning and fluid service, fuel system service including filter and tank seals, professional paint improvement, new driver side mirror, professionally refurbished original steering wheel and new Vredestein tires.
