1969 Toyota FJ 40 Land Cruiser
An incredibly rare, unique professional restoration of a dry, Nevada 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 40 restored in Arizona.
During its restoration the truck was greatly improved from stock with mini upgrades while retaining its original character. The original four-cylinder engine was removed and replaced with a new GM 350 in.³ V8, fitted with a new transmission and clutch, Edelbrock 4 barrel carb., serpentine belt system and upgraded to an alternator, power steering, modern air conditioning and power disc brakes. The truck was completely rewired during the restoration with new seat coverings and foams fitted as well as a rollbar & the roof rack. The Truck was lifted with new shock absorbers added all around, skid plates protecting the rear fuel tank,( it had dual tanks), transmission and transfer case. A new exhaust system was fitted as well as five new wheels with 5 new Michelin LTX AT 31/10.5 R 15 tires.
Recently the truck has also had a new windshield wiper system and motor installed, an upgraded radiator and cooling system (including overflow tank), new fuel pump, trailer hitch and trailer wiring, diamond plate runningboards, fender flares and a new exhaust system. The Truck also comes with it vinyl half doors so you can remove the hard doors if you wish. While the wiring was being done an alarm system with remote start was added and the lights and switches were replaced. A brand new rear floor liner comes with the truck, still in the box. A new interstate battery was just faded and the Truck was just re-weatherstripped.
Overall a fantastic, modern, comfortable, professional restoration and upgrade of a 2nd year production of a very desirable and rare vehicle. Pretty sure there’s not another one like it anywhere. Truck runs beautifully, drives & stops well with all of it systems functioning properly.
