1970 Chevrolet Corvette convertible
A very nice 1970 Corvette C3 stingray convertible. Fitted with its original, documented rebuilt 350/350 hp engine and 4 speed manual transmission, this matching numbers car was acquired over two years ago from its owner who had had it for 31 years.
My interest in a 1970 Corvette stemmed from its unique body style and the extremely short production run due to the strike at GM during the 1970 production year which led to far fewer Corvettes being produced than in 1969 or 1971.
Fairly unique, the car was fitted with factory AC, factory power steering, factory power brakes and tilt telescoping wheel. With one professional repaint in its original color and a brand new black convertible top the car shows extremely well. During the professional engine rebuild a new clutch, aluminum radiator, And water pump we’re all added as well as being fitted with a new fuel tank, fuel pump and rebuilt Quadra jet carburetor. Most recently it has had its belts, hoses, fluids and plugs and filters replaced.
The interior has had new carpets and Mats but otherwise is largely original and in very good condition including its original AM/FM radio. This suspension system has had new shocks, rear leafspring and many bushings and steering components replaced and the exhaust system was replaced with a magnaflow system.
The chrome and glass are in good shape while the tires have plenty of tread they are several years old.
