1972 Triumph GT6
A beautiful restoration of the true 2 owner car in excellent condition, rust free and thoroughly restored.
Originally a college graduation gift when new for a woman in 1972, The car was being restored when discovered by a then 88 year old Triumph collector in the same shop where his 1970 TR6 was being restored. He purchased the car and continued to improve it over the next 8 years for which I have all of the documentation. When I purchased it, as a part of a collection from this 96 year old Gentleman, it was in excellent condition with only minor repairs needed for completion. The car has many upgrades after its restoration including a full stainless steel exhaust system, spin on all filter conversion, new battery and disconnect switch, radio system, pertronix electronic ignition, new tie rod ends and suspension bushings, aluminum engine splash shields. During its restoration it also received new seat belts, refinished original wheels with new wheels centers and trim rings, new brake calipers, lines and master cylinder as well as a new clutch master and slave cylinders.
Replayed chrome bumpers, mirrors and doorhandles were added as well as rear hatch glass seal, a new windshield and shock absorbers, Hush mat was added under the carpets, a new water pump, U joints, clutch and radiator as well as a rebuilt and resealed transmission.
A new Moto Lita wooden steering wheel was installed as well as new hoses, emblems, fuel pump and a new fuse box. Most recently, since the pictures were taken, I have installed a new Dash top, Ashtray and new outer window waist seals. Overall a great running, driving, perfectly straight, rust free 1972 GT6.
